Cherry Bonbon cookies

These are yummy.


They are sugar cookies with cherries in the middle. The icing is drizzled or dunked on the top.


They don't look the same and I have a lot of work to do on the aesthetic end of baking but they do taste good this time!

Peanut butter and apple cookies

There is no picture today....that is on purpose. The cookies had potential and they tasted pretty good...kinda.

I forgot the baking soda and that somehow made a huge difference. The cookies didn't flatten out so the outsides started burning before the middle was done.

Maybe I'll give it another attempt today. I might just move on to the next thing though....who knows!

Christmas Shaped Molasses Cookies

As soon as I opened the molasses I was ready to throw this recipe right in the trash. Molasses is nasty nasty nasty smelling.


I decided to stick it out and they turned out pretty good. Much better than the molasses smelled originally. Paul is anxiously awaiting the delivery of these cookies. His mom use to make molasses cookies when he was growing up. I know they won't be "like his mama made them" but hopefully it's close.



Paul's mom must have had a better icing than this. You beat it while heating it for 10 minutes. Then take it off the heat and beat it 8 more minutes! My arms are falling off as I type this.

Banaba Chocolate Chip Cookies

I had to take a day off of baking after the burned handed candy making. Today Alex and I made banana chocolate chip cookies. They are great. My co-workers are looking forward to these tonight.

Cinnamon, coconut, licorice, and orange hard candy!

Today we are making hard candy of many flavors! So far I am noticing that it takes a long time to boil something to 310.

This is what we are trying for.

Triple Chocolate Caramel Cookies

I got a magazine with holiday cookie recipes. I'm going to try to bake every day or every other day from now until Christmas and bless my friends and family with yummy tummy treats!

Today's adventure was Triple Chocolate Caramel Cookies. This is what I was trying to make.


And this is what we turned out with. They are yummy!

Talk about a big girl!

Maks lunch today! Banana bites and juice from a big cup! Whoohoo!
